BACOOR CONDUCTS 2ND QUARTER SOCIAL PENSION PAYOUT FOR INDIGENT SENIOR CITIZENS

The City Government of Bacoor, under the leadership of Mayor Strike B. Revilla, conducted the Second Quarter Social Pension Payout for indigent senior citizens on July 29, 2026, at the Molino Gymnasium.

The payout was organized through the Office of Senior Citizens Affairs (OSCA) and the City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWD) headed by Ms. Emiliana Ugalde, in partnership with the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD).

Present during the activity were Mayor Strike B. Revilla, Vice Mayor Rowena B. Mendiola, Congresswoman Lani M. Revilla, Councilor Karen S. Evaristo, COP Alexie Desamito, Ms. Anamor Asilar, Statistical Researcher of CBMS PSA Cavite, Ms. Nenita Reyes, OSCA Head, Ms. Gina Fornelos, Assistant Head of CSWD, and personnel from the CSWD.

The payout benefited qualified indigent senior citizens from 21 barangays across the City of Bacoor.

Implemented under Republic Act No. 9994, or the Expanded Senior Citizens Act of 2010, the Social Pension Program provides a ₱1,000 monthly stipend, released on a quarterly basis, to help beneficiaries meet essential expenses such as food, medicines, and other basic needs.

The program is intended for qualified senior citizens 60 years old and above who are indigent, have no regular pension from the SSS, GSIS, or other sources, and have no steady income or sufficient financial support.

👵👴 Through programs like the Social Pension, the City Government of Bacoor continues to uphold the welfare, dignity, and well-being of its senior citizens by ensuring they receive the assistance and support they deserve.
