As part of the celebration of Bacoor’s 14th Cityhood Anniversary, the City Government of Bacoor, through the City Tourism Office headed by Mr. Edwin Guinto, conducted a special commemorative ceremony on June 23, 2026, at the corner of Emilio Aguinaldo Highway and Bacoor Boulevard.

The event featured the Blessing of the Gen. Emilio Aguinaldo Monument, the Unveiling of a Local Historical Marker, and the Blessing of a Multi-Purpose Building, highlighting Bacoor’s commitment to preserving its rich history while continuing its journey toward progress and development.

Present during the ceremony were Mayor Strike B. Revilla, Vice Mayor Rowena B. Mendiola, Congresswoman Lani Mercado Revilla, Governor Francisco Gabriel β€œAbeng” Remulla, Vice Governor Ram Revilla Bautista, officials from the National Historical Commission of the Philippines (NHCP), representatives of the Bacoor Historical Society, and Vice Mayor Angelo Aguinaldo of Kawit, a descendant of Gen. Emilio Aguinaldo, together with other local government leaders and distinguished guests.

Also joining the celebration were members of the Liga ng mga Barangay, the Asosasyon ng mga Kagawad, various non-government organizations (NGOs), city department heads, and community stakeholders.

The ceremony paid tribute to the enduring legacy of Gen. Emilio Aguinaldo, one of the nation’s most significant historical figures, while also recognizing Bacoor’s transformation and achievements over the past 14 years as a city.

More than a celebration of milestones, the event served as a reminder that honoring history helps strengthen identity, inspire patriotism, and guide future generations as Bacoor continues to grow and thrive.
