key suspect into the
missing person case involving Catherine Camilon voluntarily surrendered to authorities on
January 9, 2024 at Balayan Municipal Pollice
Station.
At approximately
11:59 AM on Tuesday,
Jeffrey Ariola Magpantay, 33 years old of Barangay San Roque, Rosario, Batangas, together
with his live-in partner,
personally appeared at
the Balayan Municipal
Police Station, Batangas to submit himself
for preventive custody.
This surrender comes
in the wake of charges
filed against him in connection to the crime of
kidnapping and serious
illegal detention of the
missing beauty queen,
Catherine Camilon.
Magpantay is determined to cooperate
with the legal process
by submitting a waiver
of detention, which was
signed by his legal counsel.

CALABARZON acknowledges the surrender of
Magpantay and affirms
its commitment to ensuring a fair and impartial investigation into
the case. “We appreciate
the cooperation of all
individuals involved in
the legal proceedings.
This act of Mr. Magpantay signals his commitment to face the charges
levied against him in a
lawful and transparent
manner.
The suspect, Magpantay is believed to be
the driver of the prime
suspect, Maj Allan De
Castro who is now facing both administrative
and criminal charges.
As the case unfolds,
the Police Regional Office CALABARZON will

the public, maintaining a balance between
transparency and the
need to protect the integrity of the ongoing
investigation.
