STA. CRUZ, Laguna – The Laguna Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO) facilitated a Basic Life Support Training (BLS) at the Laguna State Polytechnic University (LSPU)-Sta. Cruz (Main) Campus on September 14-15, 2023.
Certified trainers from Laguna PDRRMO, Lumban MDRRMO, Cavinti MDRRMO and General Cailles Memorial District Hospital (Pakil) demonstrated BLS skills to faculty members and staff of LSPU Sta. Cruz, Siniloan, San Pablo, and Los Baños campuses.
Training includes lecture on Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR); how to use Automated External Defibrillator (AED); techniques for rescue breathing and Foreign Body Airway Obstruction (FBAO); and how to properly performCPR and FBAO to children and adults.
Headed by Mr. Aldwin M. Cejo, Laguna PDRRMO is continuously providing assistance to different local government units (LGUs), schools and other agencies in capacitating their personnel basic lifesaving skills, under the directive of Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (PDRRMC) Chairperson Governor Ramil L. Hernandez.
