With its continuous effort to promote vigorous and healthy communities by addressing the health concerns of its constituents, the Provincial Government of Cavite thru the Office of the Provincial Governor-Extension sponsored another medical mission which was held on April 18, 2023 at SM Center Imus in Barangay Alapan I-C, City of Imus.
Locals from Cluster I of the City of Imus composed of barangays Alapan I–A, Alapan I-B, Alapan I-C, Alapan II–A, Alapan II-B and Bucandala I to V, gathered at the venue for the free health services.
A total of 271 children and adults received free consultations as well as free maintenance medicines, multivitamins, and Vitamin C supplements. Other service offered during the event were free pneumococcal vaccine for senior citizens.
The medical team from General Emilio Aguinaldo Memorial Hospital consisting of Dr. Ma. Theresa de Rama, Dr. Hanz Marie Estrella as well as some PHO technical staff and Imus City Health doctors headed by Dr. Ferdinand Mina rendered their services during the medical mission.
Prior to the conduct of the activity, health screening and antigen swab testing for those who have symptoms were done for the safety of everyone.
The outreach project was made possible thru the initiative of 3rd District Representative Adrian Jay “AJ” Advincula with support from Mayor Alex “AA” Advincula and Vice Mayor Homer “Saki” Saquilayan who also graced the event. Barangay Health Workers from the cluster and some members and officers of Imus Institute Batch ‘86 led by their president PCOL Erick Hayag (Ret.) also provided their assistance during the event.(picad)
