– The Bureau of Jail Management and Penology
(BJMP), represented by its Chief Director Ruel S. Rivera (right) and National Youth Commission (NYC)
Chairperson Ronald Gian Carlo Cardema (2nd from
right), are signing the Memorandum of Agreement
(MoA) underscoring the Bureau’s commitment
to protect and nurture the well-being, rights and
future of youth within the vulnerable sector. The
agreement also highlighted the BJMP and NYC’s joint commitment in crafting tailored programs to
address the exceptional challenges faced by Youth (Persons) Deprived of Liberty (YDL).
Top jail officials led by Deputy Chief for Administration C. Supt. Dennis U. Rocamora (3rd from right) witnessed the ceremony held at the BJMP National Headquarters in Quezon City on January 19, 2024. (Benjie J. Murillo / BJMP Photo)
