Ca l a m b a City – Three million four hundred fif- ty thousand pesos (P3,450,000.00) worth of shabu were seized during a joint anti-drug operation conducted by operatives of Calamba City Police Station, PDEA Laguna Provincial Office and PDEA Regional Office IV-A Special Enforcement Team in Barangay Turbina, Calamba City, Laguna. Authorities conducted buy-bust operation in a parking lot of a fast-food restaurant in Barangay Turbina on April 4, 2023 which resulted in the arrest of Marlon Mamalayan, 35, company driver, resident of Barangay Palo Alto, same city and tagged as high-value drug personality. Seized by operatives were more or less 500 grams of suspected shabu and buy-bust money. A case for violation of Section 5 (Sale of Dangerous Drugs), Article II of RA 9165 or The Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 will be filed against the suspect.(roselle aquino)
