As part of the ongoing efforts of the provincial government to strengthen the capabilities of its barangay-level law enforcement personnel, a seminar for Barangay Tanods of CarSiGMA district – City of Carmona, Silang and Gen. Mariano Alvarez, was successfully conducted at Brgy. Lantic, Carmona on August 15, 2024. The program aims to enhance the skills and knowledge of the local peacekeepers in maintaining peace and order in their community.
PLTCOL Joven T. Bahil of Cavite Police Provincial Office, provided valuable insights that equipped the tanods with the necessary tools to handle various situations they may encounter. Likewise, he tackled various aspects of community policing, conflict resolution, and emergency response. The seminar emphasized the importance of vigilance, proper coordination with local authorities, and adherence to legal protocols in executing their duties.
In addition to the seminar, the distribution of peace and order kits to the barangay tanods was a key highlight of the event. Each kit included essential items such as, whistles, vests, batons, gloves and caps, all intended to aid the Tanods in their day-to-day tasks. The provision of these kits underscores the local government’s commitment to supporting its frontliners in maintaining the safety and security of the community.
