The Provincial Government of Cavite through the Sangguniang Panlalawigan recognized the Cities of Imus and Tagaytay, along with the Municipality of Noveleta, for their remarkable achievement of being upgraded to 1st Class Income Classification. The appreciation and commendation were officially given during a simple ceremony on February 17, 2025 at the OPG Receiving Area, New Government Center, Trece Martires City.

Noveleta Mayor Dino Chua and Imus City Mayor Alex Advincula personally received the recognition, while Cavite Governor Athena Bryana D. Tolentino accepted the award on behalf of Tagaytay City Mayor Bambol Tolentino.

Fifth District Board Member Aidel Paul G. Belamide and 1st District Board Member Davey Christian R. Chua sponsored a resolution to formally commend the three local government units for their economic growth and outstanding financial performance. The upgrade reflects their effective governance, improved revenue generation, and strengthened local development initiatives.

Provincial officials headed by Governor Tolentino and Vice Governor Shernan Jaro lauded the leadership and dedication of the local executives and their respective teams in ensuring sustainable progress.

The recognition highlights Caviteโ€™s commitment to fostering economic prosperity and acknowledges the continuous efforts of its cities and municipalities in driving development and progress.
