In a gesture of appreciation and support, Governor Jonvic Remulla personally handed over ceremonial cheques to Barangay Health Workers (BHW) and Barangay Nutrition Scholars (BNS) during a special event held at the Cavite State University (CvSU) Silang Campus on July 19, 2024. The event highlighted the provincial government’s recognition of these unsung heroes’ contribution to the health and well-being of communities.
A total of ₱9,378,900 was allocated for the incentives of 921 BNS, while ₱24,480,000 was distributed among 2,400 BHWs for the first semester of 2024. These incentives recognize the vital role that these health and nutrition workers play in promoting public health and ensuring the delivery of essential services at the grassroots level.
Governor Remulla, in his speech, expressed his gratitude for the unwavering dedication and hard work of the BHWs and BNS. He acknowledged their critical role in the province’s health system, especially during challenging times such as the recent pandemic.
The event was also attended by Sen. Tito Sotto, Sen.
