The Department of Trade and Industry – Cavite represented by its OIC Division Chief Rexel B. Amparo serves as a resource speaker in an activity spearhead by the City Cooperative Development Council Carmona (CCDC Carmona) in partnership and coordination with the Carmona Smart City Union Cooperative. The objective of the activity is to orient members of Cooperatives in Carmona on the following: Consumer Act of the Philippines (RA 7394), consumer rights and responsibilities and existing fair trade laws. The seminar was attended by members of different cooperatives in Carmona, Cavite. Participants were able to gain insights and awareness on the topics discussed as well as empower members of the cooperatives, thus, making them more alert and vigilant on any unfair and unconscionable sales acts and practices. As we always say in DTI “A vigilant consumer is the best protected consumer.”
