MCJ-MD NEW ISOLATION FACILITY

To further ensure the provision of healthcare service to
persons deprived of liberty (PDL), the Manila City
Jail – Male Dormitory (MCJ-MD)inaugurates its new
isolation facility on May 23, 2023, marking a new
milestone in PDL healthcare reform, showcasing a
quantum leap in efficient COVID-19 and other infectious disease management in the jail center. The
ceremony was graced by top Jail Bureau officials led
by Acting Jail Chief C. Supt. Ruel S. Rivera, Bureau
of Jail Management and Penology National Capital
Region Director C. Supt. Efren A. Nemeño, BJMPNHQ Director for Logistics C. Supt. Luisito C. Muñoz,
MCJ-MD Warden Supt. Mirasol V. Vitor and Chief of
Chaplaincy Service Office Reverend Father Sr. Supt.
Juan B. Buban (3rd, 2nd, 1st, 4th and 5th from right,
respectively), together with key stakeholders. The
facility is equipped with the latest medical technologies and infrastructure, ready to provide high-quality healthcare services, particularly in cases of
