In celebration of the Sight Saving Month this August, the BFP Health Service organized an informative seminar under Kapehan sa Medical Program, dubbed as “I SEE you” at the BFP National Headquarters in Quezon City on August 16, 2023. Dr. Paulo Jose Ponciano (right, left photos), an expert in Ophthalmology, Cataracts and Refractive Surgery lead the seminar as the resource person and speaker. Joined by BFP NHQ officers and personnel, the seminar deals into an array of essential topics, including Corneal Abrasion, Corneal Foreign Body, Globe Rupture/Laceration, Eyelid Laceration, Blunt Trauma, Orbital Fracture, and other types of eye illnesses. ‘Kapehan Sa Medical’ is a part of the Bureau’s implementation of the CSC-DOH-DOLE Joint Memorandum Circular No. 1, S. 2020: Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) Standards for the Public Sector.
