Director Louie S. Puracan (right), stressesthe importance of safety
during disasters that
was highlighted in the
Bureau’s recent workshop on Communication During Emergency Response organized by the Department of Information and
Communications Technology (DICT). The seminarwas designed to improve the coordination among government agencies through the Emergency Telecommunications Cluster (ETC) to work in an interoperable
telecommunications platform for better decision-making during emergencies, a very crucial step to achieve
a well-organized communication in disaster operations, in which the Government Emergency Communications System – Mobile Operations Vehicle (GECS-MOVE) was discovered to be
