The Calamba City Bureau of Fire Protection headed by FCINSP ALEXANDER DALE Q BAENA, City Fire Marshal and its Personnel recently conducted Mayor Ross Rizal URBAN FIRE OLYMPICS held at the City Plaza.

An annual event that allows First Responders and Stakeholders to showcase their firefighting and rescuing and the speed and accuracy in their responses to fire plus other talents outside the fire scene.

Baena said, the ultimate purpose of these activities is to strengthen camaraderie and cooperation between the BFP personnel and various barangay fire brigades and in the private sectors.

He added, “These activities also aim to raise their level of preparedness and proficiency as our partners in suppressing all destructive fires and other emergencies both man-made and natural in the city of Calamba,”

In his speech, FSUPT RONNIE R BENEDICTO, Provincial Fire Marshal encourages every participant to be more vigilant in dealing with fires and other disasters such events will endanger everyone lives and property. Being prepared is the best way to counter any untoward events.

The BFP regularly does seminars and drills which intends to address the problems toward a resilient society to achieve a safer environment. Guest during the event are Hon.
