President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. signs into law the Ligtas Pinoy Centers Act and the Student Loan Payment Moratorium During Disasters and Emergencies Act, reaffirming his administration’s commitment to aiding families and students during times of calamity.

In his speech, President Marcos highlighted that the Ligtas Pinoy Centers Act mandates the creation of fully equipped evacuation centers nationwide, offering secure, temporary shelter for disaster-affected residents.

Meanwhile, the Student Loan Payment Moratorium During Disasters and Emergencies Act provides financial relief by suspending student loan payments without penalty or interest during and after calamities.
