In a significant nationwide initiative to mark the birthday of President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos, the government launched a simultaneous distribution of comprehensive assistance and services across the country on September 13, 2024. In Cavite, the event took place at the Ternate Municipal Town Plaza, where various government agencies and partners came together to provide essential services to the community.

Ternate Mayor Lamberto Bambao extended a warm welcome to all attendees, expressing gratitude to the President for the timely services provided to his constituents, and to the provincial government and participating agencies for choosing Ternate as the host for this milestone program.

The event highlighted the collective efforts of several key agencies. The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), through DOLE-Cavite Provincial Director Marivic Martinez, provided assistance under the TUPAD program, support for parents of child laborers, and grants to workersโ€™ organizations under the DOLE Integrated Livelihood Program. Recipients included the Nagkakaisang Manggagawa sa Yumex Phils. Corp., which received Php395,280.00, and Chin Su Phils. Co. Inc. Workers Independent Union, awarded with Php295,926.00.

Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) offered skills demonstrations, training support for scholars, and starter tool kits for selected beneficiaries. The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), represented by DTI Calabarzon OIC-Asst. Regional Director Revelyn Cortez and DTI-Cavite OIC-Provincial Director Lilibeth Chavez, provided business and trade information and services.

The Department of Agriculture awarded a total of Php3,506,504.00 in grants for agricultural services and farm inputs intended for Caviteรฑo farmers. Mr. Ruben R. Perlas, Agricultural Program Coordinating Officer, presented the certificate of award, which was received by Provincial Administrator Rodel Vincent T. Bae on behalf of the Cavite provincial government.

Meanwhile, the Office of the Provincial Agriculturist staged Kadiwa ng Pangulo in partnership with DTI-Cavite promoting local agriculture produce and crafts. The Office of the Provincial Governor also conducted a Medical Mission offering free consultations, check-ups, and basic healthcare services, while the Office of the Provincial Public Employment Service Manager organized a job fair featuring numerous private companies and government agencies, including the Social Security System (SSS) and PhilHealth, to assist job seekers with employment opportunities and social security benefits.

Department of Justice (DOJ) Secretary Boying Remulla attended the event, engaging with the community alongside Undersecretary Marge Gutierrez and Assistant Secretary Mico Clavano. Local officials including Magallanes Mayor Jasmin Maligaya-Bautista and Maragondon Mayor Lawrence โ€œUmbeโ€ Arca also participated in the celebration, showing their support for the government initiative.

The comprehensive assistance program aims to provide valuable support and resources to individuals and businesses, celebrating President Marcos’ birthday with a commitment to community welfare and national progress.
