Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) Chief Director (Major General in the Military) Ruel Silva Rivera signs the Philippine National Police Academy (PNPA) Guest Book before attending the Testimonial Parade and Review in his honor held at the BGen Cicero Campos Grandstand, Camp General Mariano N. Castaneda, in Silang, Cavite, attended by his family, friends, colleagues and BJMP personnel. A member of the PNPA “Patnubay” Class of 1995, he hails from a humble beginning being a son of a barangay captain and a market vendor in Lipa City, Batangas. He is a holder of a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering degree and Master’s Degree in Public Administration. As public servant, he serves with dedication and dignity acquiring numerous awards and accolades as testimonials. On June 25, 2023, Rivera was appointed by President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr. as the 10th Chief BJMP.
