Standardizing High Quality Health Care for PDL

A partnership between the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology and the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) for the provision of high-quality healthcare for persons deprived of liberty (PDLs) is sealed through the launching of the booklet, titled “Common Diseases in BJMP: Working Impression Notes and Referral Guides for Jail Nurses.”The handbook aims to provide guidance for frontline BJMP nurses, helping them to facilitate access to healthcare, improve its quality, and standardize the recording and reporting of terminologies. Although comprehensive medical and nursing references are easily accessible online, this initiative attempts to consolidate the common diseases in BJMP in the single publication.
