Camp BGen Vicente P Lim, Calamba City – The Police Regional Office CALABARZON conducted a drug testing for its members immediately after the assumption of office by the new Regional Director, BGen Paul Kenneth Lucas Lucas on October 3, 2023 at Covered Court, this camp. Sixty-three (63) Police Commissioned Officers composed of Regional Staff, Provincial Directors, Force Commander, and Chief of the Regional Support Units underwent said drug testing spearheaded by the members of the Regional Forensic Unit 4A. The drug testing initiative, designed to ensure the fitness and credibility of the police force, demonstrated a collective dedication to maintaining a drug free work environment within the Police Regional Office CALABARZON. The results of the drug testing affirmed the professionalism and commitment to duty displayed by the members, as all tests yielded negative results for illegal substances. “I commend everyone from PRO CALABARZON for upholding the values of the PNP and maintaining a drug free workplace. This drug testing initiative is a testament to everyone’s commitment to the principles of justice, public safety, and ethical conduct. It underscores the importance of ensuring that members of PRO CALABARZON maintain a high level of personal and professional integrity, which is crucial to effectively serve and protect the community,” said Lucas. The negative results from the drug testing campaign reinforce the PRO’s dedication to for a culture of accountability and adherence to the rule of law.
