Cavite Provincial Jail (CPJ) marked a
momentous occasion
as they celebrated their
65th founding anniversary on September 8,
2023 with showcase of
talents, fun games, and
recognitions.
Mr. Roland Costales,
Assistant Provincial
Warden, extended his
warm welcome to the
distinguished guests
and participants. He
also commended the
unit personnel, recognizing their dedication
and hard work that led
to their well-deserved
promotion. More so, he
instilled in everyoneโs
minds to always pursue
goodness in their actions and congratulated
everyone for CPJโs accomplishments, having
LINKod Beyond Bars
program qualified in the
national validation for
the Galing Pook Awards.
Jail accomplishments were presented,
followed by the awarding of CPJ Personnel
Performance Award and
Appreciation Award,
acknowledging the employees who excelled
and performed their
duties well, contributing
to the overall success of
CPJ.
Mr. Noel Alegre, emphasized the amount of
time employees spent
with their colleagues at
work โ 8 hours a day, 40
hours a week, 170 hours
a month, longer than the
times spent in their own
homes. Hence, he urged
them to work harmoniously and anticipate better services that will be
provided by the Cavite
Provincial Jail in the
coming years.
In closing, Mr. Ariel
Cahigan imparted that
the institutionโs role
is not to suppress the
freedom of persons deprived of liberty (PDLs),
but to rehabilitate them
to be better individuals
in preparation to their
reintegration to community.
Filled with engaging
intermission numbers
and parlor games, the
PDLs enjoyed the 65th
founding anniversary
celebration.
Cavite Provincial
Jail was founded in 1958
and evolved into a progressive institution that
provides a supportive
environment for PDLs,
giving them hope, opportunities, and a pathway to a brighter future.
